Ice detection
systems: Know where the ice is for road safety.
Your bus driver is on his morning route and he sees
a wet patch on the road ahead. Could be water, but it
might be ice. With an ice detection system, he'll know
for certain.
These systems work by sending
an infrared signal to the pavement that is reflected
back to the sensor. The
sensor sends the information to a round 2" gauge
mounted on the dashboard or on the rear view mirror.
Unlike typical outside temperature
gauges (which we also supply), ice detection systems
actually "read" the
road surface and tell you exactly how safe, or unsafe,
the road is.
